Personal Peace by Andrew S.
As with any artwork, the written form is all about the interpretation of the individual. While this poem is about something, in particular, the true value of it is in what each reader finds in their translation of the passage.
PERSONAL PEACE
Seductive dusk, you are my temptress
Making dreams, cleanliness and romance
A simple dimming of the incandescence
Little by little, from the dying days
Enchanting the tenth phase of each year
Laying out a blanket atop comforting waves
You provide the long living melodies
Orangey hazes, outside my window
While inside, deep inside, is the vision
The dance you fulfill by bringing her to me
From the furthest spot outside of reality
Illusions of magical delusions
Presented to me upon values held dear
Quietly stored, privately in the silence
Controlled and honoured by my own guise
And protected wholly by you, seductive dusk
My world is devoted to you, enamoured by you
Cherish you I do, past or present in life
To capture you each third-quarter
And allow you to define my love and purpose
It is calm, it is spectacular, until it fades
And I long for your return
